During the final days of the Clone Wars[3] in 19 BBY,[4] the Confederacy of Independent Systems launched an attack on the Galactic Republic FireStar II-class Orbital Defense Platform Sentinel Flare. As a result of the attack, the Confederacy managed to severely damage the space station. However, after the end of the war, the Republic's successor state, the Galactic Empire, was able to restore the core functionality of the Sentinel Flare to service.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
The attack on the Sentinel Flare was mentioned in Fully Operational, a 2018 sourcebook published as part of Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying products.[3]
