Auto-fighters were automated TIE line starfighters that were produced by the forces under Commodore Visler Korda on Rekkana. Eventually, Rekkana was liberated by New Republic General Lando Calrissian, Rekk Chancellor Asera, and the bounty hunter Jaxxon. The resistance was able to take control of the remote fighters and have them fire on the Imperial formation, ruining Korda's presentation.[1]

Behind the scenes

The auto-fighters appear in "Hare-Brained Heist," published in IDW Publishing's Star Wars Adventures Annual 2019.

In Legends, the Auto-Fighter premiers in the Dark Empire comic book as the TIE/D automated fighter, or droid/drone TIE fighter.
