Auxiliary craft

An auxiliary craft or auxiliary ship is a Starship designed to support and dock unobtrusively with a larger vessel. Auxiliary ships can be used in conjunction with their larger ship both while docked and launched. Auxiliary craft range in versatility from starfighters to simple shuttles or tugs.

The Corellian Engineering Corporation designed two auxiliary ships options which could fit between the mandibles of their modular YT-1300 light freighter, the F-LER and YT Dart, and sold VCX-series auxiliary starfighters to fit on the back of VCX-100 light freighters.
