Axion was an individual who served as a Consul in the newly established independent government of the planet Zakuul following the successful revolt against and subsequent collapse of the Eternal Empire, a Zakuul-based government that conquered the galaxy following the assassination of their Emperor Valkorion.
After the Alliance against Zakuul, a resistance movement against the Eternal Empire made up of personnel from the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire,[2] seized control of the Eternal Throne, Zakuul was placed under the control of the newly organized Eternal Alliance, which consisted of the remnants of the Eternal Empire and the original Alliance forces.
After the mission to Nathema, which saw the Eternal Alliance lose its two most powerful weapons-the Eternal Fleet and the Gravestone, Axion sent a message to the Alliance's Commander, informing them of Zakuul's decision to withdraw from the Eternal Alliance's control.[1]
