Ayo Tam[1][3] was a short alien individual who could be found on Tatooine at some point during 9 BBY. He and an Aki-Aki were seen walking and talking near the Mos Eisley spaceport when exiled Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi made his way towards an outbound passenger transport in an attempt to save a young Princess Leia.[2]
Equipment[]
Ayo Tam donned loose-fitting pants and a shirt which were dark brown and tan respectively, as well as a brown vest and large utility belt. Additionally, he equipped himself with a cybernetic eyepatch-like monocle sporting a dark red lens and three distinct head straps.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Ayo Tam first appeared, albeit unidentified, in the first episode of the Obi-Wan Kenobi television series, which aired on May 26, 2022.[4] The character's head was originally sculpted by Miles Teves for an unspecified project which was eventually scratched, the detailed bust later taken by make-up effects artist Shaun Smith to be reused in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Smith asked concept artist Dylan Howie-Richardson to create an updated design for the character,[1] which was then implemented as a background character within the series' first episode.[3] Ayo Tam was played by actress Jo Osmond Morriss, being one of her many roles as background characters among Star Wars television.[1]
