Ayy Vida was a Twi'lek female slave who belonged to the crime lord Hat Lo[1] and was forced to be his concubine[3] and entertain his clients.[1] In 22 BBY,[4] Vida and Lo took refuge in the warm and welcoming glow of the Outlander Club[3] on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant[5] during a cold and rainy night.[3] Vida consorted[2] and talked[3] with patron Achk Med-Beq and a purple-skinned Twi'lek when the Clawdite assassin Zam Wesell attempted to escape the pursuing Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker by hiding in the club.[2] When the Jedi left with the Clawdite, Vida moved to a table to entertain Hat Lo's clients.[1] Vida had yellow skin with mottled red stripes and brown eyes.[2] She wore a red and yellow hand-dyed bodysuit and a silver headpiece.[6]

Ayy Vida was played by Karina Wakefield in the 2002 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.[7] The Outlander Club scenes including Vida were shot at Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia on July 17, 2000.[8] Wakefield's costume was airbrushed all around for her part as Vida.[9]

In the new Star Wars canon, Vida's name was revealed in 2016 by the mobile app Star Wars: Card Trader.[10] The name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was introduced by the 2002 reference book Star Wars: Attack of the Clones Scrapbook, written by Ryder Windham.[11]
