Ayy Vida was a Twi'lek female[1] enslaved by the crime lord Hat Lo[2] who was forced to be his concubine[1] and entertain his clients.[2] In 22 BBY,[4] Vida and Lo took refuge in the warm and welcoming glow of the Outlander Club on[1] the Core Worlds planet[5] Coruscant during a cold and rainy night.[1]
Vida consorted[3] and talked[1] with patron Achk Med-Beq and the Twi'lek[3] Lunae Minx[6] when the Clawdite assassin Zam Wesell attempted to escape the pursuing Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker by hiding in the club.[3] When the Jedi left with the Clawdite, Vida moved to a table to entertain Hat Lo's clients.[2] Vida had yellow skin with mottled red stripes and brown eyes.[3] She[2] wore a red and yellow hand-dyed bodysuit and a silver headpiece.[7]

Ayy Vida was played by Karina Wakefield in the 2002 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones.[9] Prior to the film's release, Vida was pictured in "A Twinkle Beyond Pluto,"[8] a behind-the-scenes documentary released on StarWars.com on July 31, 2001.[10] The Outlander Club scenes including Vida were shot at Fox Studios in Sydney, Australia on July 17, 2000.[11] Wakefield's costume was airbrushed all around for her part as Vida.[8]
In the current Star Wars canon, Vida's name was revealed in 2016 by the mobile app Star Wars: Card Trader.[12] The name originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was introduced by the 2002 reference book Star Wars: Attack of the Clones Scrapbook, written by Ryder Windham.[13]
