Why the Resistance Didn't Use B-wings in "The Last Jedi"

The B-wing Mark II was a starfighter model in action before the cold war. Some of its parts were used by Resistance technicians to assemble troop transports.
Characteristics
Edit
The B-wing Mark II had a rounded cockpit with space for a single pilot. It was armed with at least an R-9X heavy laser cannon, and was equipped with a precision targeting laser. These systems, as well as the cockpit and life-support, were used by Resistance technicians in the construction of their troop transport.[1]
