B. Kirkland was a criminal who lived during the Galactic Civil War. By the time of the Battle of Yavin, a group of criminals led by Kirkland undertook an operation, dubbed "Operation Split Dewback", to rob valuable artifacts. During the heist, the criminals had to fight a contingent of security forces because the security system was not sliced properly. Furthermore, a shipment stolen by the criminals—supposedly weapons—appeared to contain pieces of art. In any case the operation was considered successful.[1]
