B5-SL[3] was a BB-series astromech droid with a black sensor and blue and brown paneling.[2] Like all BB-series units manufactured by Industrial Automaton, it stood 0.67 meters tall.[1] During First Order's occupation of the planet Batuu[2] in 34 ABY,[4] B5-SL spent time in a caged area of the Droid Depot in Batuu's Black Spire Outpost[2] while the depot's owner, Mubo, ran a diagnostic scan on the droid.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
B5-SL appeared as an animatronic within the themed land Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge,[2] which opened to guests at Disneyland Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019.[6] The droid is capable of lighting up and making beeping and booping noises while rolling around within the cage and turning and tilting its head back and forth.[2]
