- "They ambushed us and stole everything we'd recovered. I survived, but Master Bacara... he fought 'til the end."
In 3641 BBY, Bacara and his Padawan Kosh were stationed at the Kri-Ta Outpost in the Pelath-Ri Marches on Voss. Upon finding ancient Jedi technology in the old ruins, they were ambushed by Gormak and Bacara ordered Kosh to flee before being killed by a single shot in the head. Wounded, Kosh made it back to the outpost and asked a Republic citizen to complete the task the Jedi started.
