Baffop was a planet[3] located in the Baffop system, a part of the Tamarin sector in the Outer Rim Territories.[1] In 32 BBY,[4] the Human male Anselm was born at Baffop. At some point before the Battle of Yavin, the forces of the Galactic Empire ravaged Baffop,[3] leading to extensive civilian casualties.[2] After witnessing the devastation of his homeworld, Anselm became a member of the Rebel Alliance, which opposed the Empire.[3] By the time of Imperial Grand Admiral Thrawn's campaign against the New Republic in 9 ABY, Baffop was situated in space either conquered by or allied with Thrawn's confederation.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Baffop was first mentioned in Dark Force Rising Sourcebook, a 1992 supplement authored by Bill Slavicsek for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[3] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Baffop system, and therefore Baffop itself, in grid square O-19.[2]
