- "No, please, Lord Vader! I'll forget everything I've heard! I'll forget the name! Here, I've already forgotten all about Skywalker! I haven't even mentioned Skywalker just now! NO!"
- ―Papeega's last words to Darth Vader before being killed
Ban Papeega was an avian agent of the Galactic Empire who worked for the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader shortly after the Battle of Yavin. On Centares, Papeega was able to extract the name of the Rebel who had destroyed the Death Star battlestation, Luke Skywalker, from the Rebel pilot Thurlow Harris through torture.[1]
Vader, attempting to kill everyone who had heard Skywalker's name, followed the avian to the Museum of the Old Republic's aviary. There, Papeega attempted to live by telling the Sith that he had forgotten the Rebel's name; however, Vader still murdered him with his lightsaber.[1]
