Bantha rump was a type of Wookiee food.
Description
Also known as bantha surprise, this rump roast was prepared using cuts of meat from the bantha tenderloin, and stewed in a broth of various seasonings and vegetables native to Kashyyyk.
History
The Wookiee Mallatobuck made one of these once for Life Day. Chef Gormaanda also made one over a transmission, for her viewers to see. However, the Wookiee matriarch, who was already dealing with worry regarding her husband Chewbacca's delayed arrival for Life Day, gradually got frustrated by the amount of time it took to make the meal and eventually smashed the transmission.[1]
During Life Day of 1.5 ABY, a number of spacers obtained recipes for bantha rump from Saun Dann so that it could be prepared by domestic traders.[2]

In the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies, bantha rump was introduced to the game during the Life Day festivities of 2008. In the game, bantha rump was referred to as bantha surprise, and the recipe could be purchased from Saun Dann using Life Day propaganda tokens. The recipe for bantha surprise was once again sold during subsequent Life Day celebrations in 2009 and 2010. It could be made by domestic traders, a profession that specialized in the creation of various goods, including food. Domestic traders took the place of chefs and artisans, after those professions were removed from the game during the New Game Enhancements of November 15, 2005.
