Baraan-Fa was a small, beautiful planet that was known for its trade and farming, inhabited by members of the human species. It was the homeworld of Sari Nadle, a cadet in the Resistance's J-Squadron.

Baraan-Fa was a small terrestrial planet located in the galaxy that was covered in forests and grassy terrain. It was mostly known for its trade and farming. It had an atmosphere breathable to oxygen-breathers, such as humans, and was inhabited by several creatures, including kollowaries, shonserras, spollows, tench doves, and titterlings.

Sometime after the Battle of Yavin, Baraan-Fa was used as a rendezvous point by the Rebel Alliance after their fleet was attacked by the Galactic Empire. Arriving on Baraan-Fa, Princess Leia Organa and Chancellor Mon Mothma discussed the establishment of a more permanent base. Organa suggested the planet Crait, leading a mission to survey it.
