Barkmeal was a type of food.[1] In 22 BBY,[2] a merchant on the planet Coruscant sold fresh cups of Barkmeal, advertising it as a good start to one's day. The merchant was overheard by the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker while they searched for the bounty hunter Zam Wesell.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Barkmeal was introduced to the new Star Wars canon in the non-canon video game LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which was released in 2022. In the game, the player can hear a merchant in the background advertising his Barkmeal, though it cannot actually be purchased in-game. The player first hears the merchant while playing the story campaign for the prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, though the dialogue can also be heard while playing free-play mode on Coruscant at any other point.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, barkmeal was introduced in the 2008 novel Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor, authored by Matthew Stover.[3]
