Baskol Yeesrim was a Gran from the planet Malastare who represented the Gran Protectorate in the Galactic Senate of the Republic.[1] Yeesrim was part of the same Malastare delegation with Senator Aks Moe, who represented the Congress of Malastare. The pair were sharing a repulsorpod with a third Gran in the Senate Building on the planet Coruscant when Queen Padmé Amidala of the planet Naboo came before the Senate to ask for their aid in ending the Trade Federation's occupation of her homeworld.[2]

Senator Lott Dod of the Trade Federation demanded proof of these accusations,[2] and Yeesrim pointedly agreed with Dod's suggestion that a committee be formed to investigate the claims.[1] After Moe stated his support for the committee, Amidala called for a Vote of No Confidence in Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum. Yeesrim had pink skin and black eyes. The senator wore a red and brown set of robes while in the Senate Building.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Baskol Yeesrim appeared in the 1999 prequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. The character was first identified in the new Star Wars canon in the 2017 reference book Star Wars: Geektionary: The Galaxy from A - Z.[1] The name was first used in the 1999 Star Wars Legends reference book Star Wars: Episode I The Visual Dictionary, although the book incorrectly associated it with an image of Aks Moe.[3] The name was then first associated with a separate Gran on a card in the 2001 "Coruscant Limited" set of the Star Wars Customizable Card Game produced by Decipher[4]
