Bastion was an industrialized planet[3] located in the Outer Rim Territories of the galaxy.[1] Also part of the New Territories,[2] it was connected via hyperspace route to Anthan Prime.[4]
Sometime after the Galactic Civil War's end with the collapse of the Galactic Empire by the New Republic, the successor to the Imperial state began to formulate within the Outer Rim. The successor, known as the First Order, was formed around a string of industrialized worlds, which stretched from Bastion to the planet Yaga Minor.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Bastion was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon on a galactic map in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a 2016 boxed set for Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Bastion, also referred to as Sartinaynian, was introduced in Specter of the Past, a 1997 novel authored by Timothy Zahn as the first installment of the Star Wars: The Hand of Thrawn Duology novel series.[5]
