A baton, also called a stun baton or security baton, was a melee weapon utilized primarily by law enforcement as a personnel defense and crowd control tool. It was carried by police officers and Guardian police droids of the Coruscant Security Force[3] and of the Mandalorian Guard.[4] Clone riot troopers of the Coruscant Guard were also armed with them for duty on Coruscant.[5] Both stormtroopers and Imperial "Riot" Cadets wielded them during Governor Ubrik Adelhard's Iron Blockade of the Anoat sector.[6] The First Order's riot control stormtroopers used the Z6 riot control baton, which could withstand a lightsaber's blows.[7]
