The battle between the Kumauri Empire and the Republic was a confrontation[2] that constituted a part of the war fought between the Kumauri Empire and the Galactic Republic. That conflict was fought[1] after the warlord Vall Kumauri conquered several dozen star systems[3] around 10,000 BBY.[1] The battle, which saw the participation of Kumauri's flagship, was eventually depicted in a fresco located in a Kumauri Empire palace on an Outer Rim Territories moon.[2] Kumauri's empire was ultimately defeated by the Republic and imploded within a few years of its own creation.[3]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.

The battle between the Kumauri Empire and the Republic had been long forgotten[2] by 3643 BBY,[4] when the palace on the Outer Rim moon was discovered. An individual affiliated with one of the sides in the ongoing struggle between the Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire eventually sent a companion to explore the structure, and the latter discovered the fresco depicting the battle.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

The battle between the Kumauri Empire and the Republic was mentioned in Star Wars: The Old Republic, a 2011 massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by BioWare.[2]
