- "Came up to me on Bamayar. After we took that stinking port—"
"Chenodra."
"Chenodra. Came up to me during the cleanup. Thought I'd messed up bad, with what Ajax and me had done. Howl started talking about the buildings instead—something about the arches and columns." - ―Twitch and Brand
A battle took place on[1] the planet[3] Bamayar during the Rebel Alliance's failed Mid Rim Offensive in the Galactic Civil War. During the battle,[1] which took place between 1 ABY and 2 ABY,[2] the Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry took control of the Ducal Palace on Bamayar, as well as the stench-ridden port Chenodra.[1]
After the capture of Chenodra, the 61st conducted a cleanup, where the company's Captain Micha Evon approached the soldier Twitch. Twitch was convinced she and the fellow soldier Maximian Ajax had made a big mistake on Bamayar, but instead of bringing up the mishap, Evon began talking to her about the buildings of the port. Hazram Namir, a First Sergeant in the 61st, briefly remembered the fighting on Bamayar while on the planet Haidoral Prime[1] in 3 ABY.[2] Twitch also recounted her experience with Evon at Chenodra[1] later that year[2] at a gathering after Evon's funeral.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The battle of Bamayar was mentioned in the 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, written by Alexander Freed.[1]

- ↑ 2.0 2.1 2.2 2.3 The main events of Battlefront: Twilight Company are set twenty-two years after the Clone Wars, which ended in 19 BBY, according to Star Wars: Galactic Atlas. Those events must have therefore occurred in 3 ABY. The novel also states that the beginning of the Mid Rim offensive began eighteen months prior to the main events and came to a halt nine months later. Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know establishes that a standard year was 365 days long, while the sixty-first issue of Star Wars: Build the Millenium Falcon sets the length of a standard month at thirty-five days, with nine months and eighteen months therefore being approximately 0.86 and 1.7 years respectively. Thus, the Mid Rim offensive, including the battle of Bamayar, must have taken place between 1 ABY and 2 ABY.
