- "I served under Admiral Piett during the Battle of Comantira."
- ―Admiral Corleque
The Battle of Comantira was fought by the Galactic Empire during the Imperial Era. Eventual Imperial Admiral Corleque served under the command of fellow eventual Admiral Firmus Piett at the battle. During the battle, an evac transport was due to be launched, though the shuttle Corleque was on arrived to the transport three seconds late. To Corleque's surprise, however, Piett ordered the transport's launch be delayed four seconds, which allowed Corleque's shuttle to reach it.[1]
Years later between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[2] the now Admiral Corleque recalled the Battle of Comantira after[1] he[3] was ordered to destroy the Executor[1]—the flagship of the Dark Lord of the Sith[4] Darth Vader which Piett served as admiral aboard—after it was taken over by[1] scourged droids.[4] Corleque intended to rescue Piett in return for his actions during the Battle of Comantira, though the droids were defeated after forces led by Vader repaired and activated the vessel's fail-safe mechanism. Afterward, Corleque's flagship, the Unbreakable, came under attack by droids, comprimising his ship. After being informed of the development, Piett, despite protests from Corleque, waited four seconds like he had at the Battle of Comantira, and had the Executor and ships in Corleque's fleet destroy the Unbreakable.[1]
