During the Second Great Galactic War, the Galactic Republic and the Jedi Order assembled a great military expedition for reclaim the strategic world of Corellia, that the Sith Empire conquered during the previous Cold War. One of the top Jedi commanders was the Barsen'thor, whose objective was to defeat the First Son of the Children of the Sith Emperor, the most powerful member of the Emperor's Children, and was shielding the other children from detection, making them incredibly dangerous assassins. Specifically, the Barsen'thor was to try to find and defeat the First Son, who was in fact Syo Bakarn, Jedi Master, Healer and Council Member. Having defeated numerous Children already, the Barsen'thor was aware of their unique powers shared with the Sith Emperor. The Barsen'thor also confronted numerous Children on Corellia as well, including one named Daresha, but they were all defeated. After defeating the First Son and redeeming him as Syo Bakarn again, the Barsen'thor received the former's seat on the Jedi Council, and the Emperor's children were exposed to detection via the Force.
When the fallen Jedi Master and Tol Braga attempted to commit genocide on Corellia in order to initiate the Sith Emperor's ritual, it was the Hero of Tython who saved Corellia by defeating Tol Braga and redeeming the fallen Jedi Master as a Jedi once again. With this act, the Emperor could no longer begin his ritual and was significantly weakened, more so than he had ever been in the past. This made it possible for the Hero of Tython to attack Dromund Kaas, capital of the Empire, and slay defeated the Sith Emperor's voice. This weakened the Emperor to the extent of physical (but not mental) slumber, had now caused the Emperor's voice to ring in his Children's heads more loudly than ever-and the war would be reignited once again.
Meanwhile, the Republic Army and the Jedi succeeded in liberating the planet from the Empire, on a different part of Corellia. The Imperials chose to cut their losses and stole significant amounts of hypermatter in the Black Hole district.
