The Battle of Dromund Kaas was one of the opening battles of the Light and Darkness War, in 1004 BBY. In a similar way to the Battle of Malrev IV that took place around the same time, the Sith landed an army to occupy the planet but they were repelled by a violent Republic counterattack.^[2] It was one of the major battles of the New Sith Wars.
