"Sarrish? Sarrish. Wait. What was the Battle of Sarrish?"
"It was one of the Republic's most devastating losses."
"Sarrish. Yes. Yes, I remember now. So many soldiers were dying."
―Gregor and Meebur Gascon[src]

The Battle of Sarrish took place on[1] the planet[3] Sarrish during the Clone Wars. It ended up becoming one of the Galactic Republic's most devastating defeats, with many[1] clone troopers[2] perishing in the battle. One of the survivors, Clone Captain CC-5576-39 "Gregor", was reported missing, although a Republic team discovered that he had ended up on a transport that crashed on the remote world of Abafar.[1]

Behind the scenes

"Gregor mentions the Battle of Sarrish. This is an event dramatized in an Expanded Universe comic book, 'Routine Valor,' which was the Star Wars title available for Free Comic Book Day in 2006."
