A battle was fought in the city of Sundari, capital of the New Mandalorian faction on Mandalore around 20 BBY between the Shadow Collective led by the Sith Lord Darth Maul and the Nite Owls, led by Bo-Katan. In addition to this, the battle drew the attention of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and Sith Master Darth Sidious.
Prelude
On Mandalore during the Clone Wars around 20 BBY, the Sith Lord Darth Maul and his brother Savage Opress aided Pre Vizsla and the Death Watch conquer the planet from the pacifist New Mandalorians government led by Duchess Satine Kryze. Once Mandalore was taken by the Death Watch and their Shadow Collective allies, Vizsla betrayed the two Sith Lords and had them imprisoned, but they would escape and Maul would kill Vizsla in a duel.
Maul then rallied most of the Death Watch to his side, but Vizsla's second-in-command Bo-Katan would split from the group with the Nite Owls. Maul then placed Almec as Prime Minister after he ousted Armatan.
The battle

The trouble that stirred on Mandalore drew the attention of the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, who had come against the wishes of the Jedi High Council. Kenobi would arrive in the Twilight to avoid detection from the Shadow Collective. At this time, Maul's soldiers would paint their armor red for more distinction.
During the battle, Kenobi went in search of the imprisoned Satine, and he successfully managed to free her. The two fled for the Twilight, but Maul anticipated this, killing her with the darksaber in front of the restrained Kenobi in revenge. He stated that he would not immediately kill Kenobi, but would have him imprisoned. Bo-Katan and her forces would later free Kenobi, and he would don Mandalorian armor, aiding Bo-Katan against the Shadow Collective.
Showdown in the Palace
Darth Sidious' Eta-Class shuttle approaches Mandalore
In the middle of the battle, a starship landed at the docks, and Darth Sidious himself exited the vessel, using the Force to choke two Mandalorian soldiers that were to deny him to go any further. Sidious had arrived at Mandalore with the intention of confronting Maul and Opress, having sensed their presence on the planet via a disturbance in the Force. Sidious proceeded to a speeder which took him straight to the palace.
There, he confronted Darth Maul and Savage Opress. With two lightsabers, Sidious dueled the two brothers in the palace. Eventually, Sidious was strained only once in the duel, but he managed to kill Opress by impaling him. He allowed Maul to rush to Opress' side, and the two watched as Opress withered back to his original form, with Talzin's energies leaving him. In addition to this, Sidious soon gained the upper hand and he managed to subdue Maul and subject him to force lightning. Maul begged Sidious for mercy, with Sidious replying that there was no mercy, and continued to unleash lightning on Maul, citing that he was replaced by another. However, he did indicate that he wouldn't kill Maul, as he had other plans in store for his former apprentice.
