The Battle of Toola was a battle between the Confederacy of Independent Systems and the Galactic Republic as part of the Outer Rim Sieges, which were in turn a part of the galaxy spanning conflict called the Clone Wars. Occurring on the icy Outer Rim world of Toola, a Republic task force led by Jedi Masters Kai Hudorra and Simms, engaged Separatist forces in battle.
After weeks of stalemate, the Jedi led an assault team against the enemy's main generators using the herbivore animals mastmots as mounts, while the rest of their troops conducted a diversionary attack. The tactic was successful, but soon after their victory, Order 66 was given, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine of the Republic commanding the clone troopers to kill their Jedi commanders for treason. Clone Commander Keller ordered his men to comply with the order. In the ensuing firefight, Master Hudorra and Simms' Padawan, Noirah Na, escaped on stolen STAPs while Master Simms covered them, at the cost of her life.
Fleeing towards Ithaqua Station, Hudorra and Na abandoned their Single Trooper Aerial Platforms after one ran out of fuel. Keller and his troops found them and alerted the garrison at Ithaqua of the Jedi's approach. Despite martial law, a curfew in effect, and clone patrols covering the streets, Master Hudorra managed to sneak into the city to learn what had happened with the clones. After finding out about the war's end and the emergence of a Galactic Empire, the two fugitive Jedi managed to reach Toola Spaceport and leave on a transport for Coruscant.
