The Battle of the Archenar asteroid field was a battle during the Cold War between the forces of the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire which occurred in the Archenar asteroid field. In this region of Hutt Space in the previous week, the Republic had lost eighteen Republic supply transports to enemy ambushes. Finally recon drones detected Imperial fighters hiding in the Archenar asteroid field. So the Republic Command organized an ambush using the elite Coruscant Aegis squadron, supported by Thranta-class corvettes. The Republic fought very well destroying most, if not all, of the Sith forces there.

Battle of the Archenar asteroid field was one of the second-tier (Level 20+) Space Missions available in the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic. Republic players are called in to destroy a massive Sith fleet. As bonus mission you can destroy 100 more Imperial fighters. A second bonus mission was destroy the 20 turrets of the Harrower-class starship. A third hidden bonus mission was destroy the command point of the Harrower-class ship.[1]

Since the mission and the incident are respectively part of Act I of the Jedi Knight and Republic Trooper's storylines, and the Trooper's Act I occurs concurrent to Act I of the Smuggler storyline, the general events of the Prologue and Act I for all classes can be assumed to occur in 3643 BBY.
