Bellassa was an astronomical object located in the galaxy's Core Worlds. It was situated within grid square M-11 of the Standard Galactic Grid. The Hydian Way[1] super-hyperroute[2] connected Bellassa to[1] the planets[3][4] Exodeen and Fedalle. Bellassa shared its name with[1] the Bellassan pepper[5] and the Bellassan Galaxy Petitionists rebel group.[6]

Around 9 ABY,[7] the crew of[8] the Onyx Cinder[9] starship traveled to the Observatory Moon to ask[8] the astronomer[10] Kh'ymm for assistance with finding the location of the lost planet At Attin. While Kh'ymm searched her archive for At Attin, Bellassa was one of several locations that was listed on her computer's screen in the Aurebesh script.[8]

Behind the scenes[]

In the current Star Wars canon, Bellassa was first mentioned in the fifty-second issue of the Star Wars: Build the Millennium Falcon magazine, published by De Agostini[11] around December 30, 2015.[12] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Bellassa first appeared in the 2005 young reader novel, The Last of the Jedi: The Desperate Mission, written by Jude Watson as the first installment of the Star Wars: The Last of the Jedi series.[13]

  7. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian" of The Mandalorian Season One to 9 ABY. In addition, SWInsider "A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 also dates "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Timelines. "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" takes place after the conflict on Mandalore, which is the main event depicted in "Chapter 23: The Spies" and "Chapter 24: The Return," the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season Three. Therefore, Seasons One through Three of The Mandalorian must all be set in 9 ABY as well. Finally, since StarWars-DatabankII Vane in the Databank (backup link) states that the events of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew take place after the pirate siege on Nevarro seen in "Chapter 21: The Pirate" of The Mandalorian Season Three, Skeleton Crew must also be set around 9 ABY.
