Binoculars were a type of hand-held device used to view objects at a distance. The B1 battle droid OOM-9 used a pair of binoculars during the Battle of Naboo in 32 BBY. Alliance Special Forces also used binoculars among their equipment during the Battle of Hoth in 3 ABY.
Other types of binoculars included electrobinoculars and macrobinoculars.
