"I know he escaped Jedha. I know he was in a scuffle on Tatooine. I know he infiltrated a biofarm on Thannt."
―Tam Posla, on Cornelius Evazan[src]

A biofarm was a type of scientific facility. One such facility was located on the astronomical object Thannt,[1] where at least one pluripleq, a rare bioengineered shape-shifting creature, was kept.[2] Sometime between 0 BBY and 3 ABY,[3] the notorious doctor and smuggler[4] Cornelius Evazan infiltrated the biofarm on Thannt,[1] stealing a pluripleq, which he would use to disguise himself as a shapeshifter named "Lopset Yas" to avoid his death sentences.[2]

Eventually, the bounty hunter Tam Posla, who was hunting Evazan, learned about the infiltration of the biofarm, and, on the 421st day of his hunt, recounted it among the events he knew Evazan had been involved in. He added that Evazan's trail had been cold for a month following the infiltration.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The biofarm was first mentioned in the comic Doctor Aphra 22, written by Simon Spurrier[1] and published by Marvel Comics on July 25, 2018.[5]

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 1.3 Doctor Aphra 22
  2. 2.0 2.1 Doctor Aphra 25
  3. Doctor Aphra 22 establishes that Cornelius Evazan's infiltration of the biofarm on Thannt takes place after his scuffle on Tatooine, which is depicted in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, dated to 0 BBY by Star Wars: Galactic Atlas. Additionally, the rebel base on Hoth is still intact during the events of Doctor Aphra 40. As Galactic Atlas places the destruction of the base in 3 ABY, Evazan's infiltration must have occurred between 0 BBY and 3 ABY.
