Athus Klee workers

Workers on Athus Klee were modified with biomesh.

"Poor bastards. Hands turned into shovel blades. Noses and mouths switched out with biomesh for filtering toxins."
―Dexter Jettster mentions the biomesh modifications he witnessed on Athus Klee[src]

Biomesh was a material that could be used to filter toxins. During the reign of the Galactic Empire, laborers working for the Crimson Dawn criminal syndicate in an ore hub on the planet Athus Klee were cybernetically modified by the surgeon Doctor Cornelius Evazan in order to work more efficiently.[1]

These modifications included the replacement of some workers noses and mouths with biomesh. The Besalisk Dexter Jettster eventually discovered the ore hub and witnessed the modifications that had been made to the workers, taking scans of them and making a record in the book that would become known as the Smuggler's Guide.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Biomesh was first mentioned in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, which was written by Daniel Wallace.[1]
