- "Well, people rub the obelisk for good luck. We love our good luck around these parts. Can't get enough of it, really."
- ―Salju, to Izal Garsea
The Black Spire Outpost Obelisk was a stone obelisk located in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. It was carved by local artisans with patterns matching those found on the outpost's original buildings. By the time of the war between the First Order and the Resistance, it had become tradition amongst visitors and locals of the outpost to touch the obelisk and say "Til the Spire" for good luck and in hopes of safely returning to the outpost in future.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Black Spire Outpost Obelisk was created as a piece of scenery for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which opened to guests at Disneyland Park on May 31, 2019.[1]
