Blue-rated constable was a rank that sat below indigo-rated constable in the hierarchy of the Sullustan Constable Brigade. The brigade was the law enforcement arm of SoroSuub, the corporation that ruled the Outer Rim Territories planet Sullust. Like all constable brigade ranks, the title of blue-rated constable was derived from a color of light.
Blue-rated constables had authority on Sullust and off-world SoroSuub facilities. They served as investigators and were able to track criminals across the galaxy. The majority of blue-rated constables hoped to eventually become indigo-rated constables, as they received more dangerous cases. The constables were armed with light blaster pistols and armored clothing. They had piloting skills and were more difficult to bribe than the lower-ranking orange-rated constables.
Behind the scenes
The rank of blue-rated constable was mentioned in the 2015 Star Wars Roleplaying sourcebook Strongholds of Resistance, which was published by Fantasy Flight Games as part of the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game. The statistics for the blue-rated constable in Strongholds of Resistance incorrectly refer to the rank as an orange-rated constable, despite that rank having a separate entry.
