This article covers a subject from a Star Wars: Visions story that Lucasfilm declared is set in an alternate history within a reimagined galaxy.

Boatman droids were red-plated droids that would ferry individuals from one location to another. At some point during or after 35 ABY, multiple boatman droids were stationed on the Outer Rim planet of Hy Izlan. However, only one was functional.[1]
