Bobby Moynihan (born January 31, 1977) is an American actor, voice actor, comedian, and writer, best known for being a cast member on Saturday Night Live.[1] While on Saturday Night Live, he was a significant part of three Star Wars-related sketches in the lead-up to Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens:

  • In the November 21, 2015 episode, during a fictitious audition reel in which J.J. Abrams, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega appeared as themselves, he portrayed George Lucas, as well as Danny DeVito auditioning for the role of BB-8.[2]
  • In the December 12, 2015 episode, he appeared in a fictitious Force Awakens toy commercial, playing a fan/collector who is horrified to see children using the potentially priceless collectibles for their intended purpose.[3]
  • In the January 15, 2016 episode, hosted by Adam Driver, he appeared as a First Order Stormtrooper in the Undercover Boss sketch in which Driver reprised his role as Kylo Ren and went undercover as the radar technician "Matt" to learn more about the employees of Starkiller Base.[4]

In April 2018, Moynihan was announced as part of the cast of Star Wars Resistance as Orka.[1]
