Bolas were a type of thrown ensnaring weapon. Consisting of a rope with round weights at either end,[1] bolas were used to bind opponents. During the Imperial Era, bounty hunters Fennec Shand[2] and Durge utilized bolas.[3] The Ewoks of the Sanctuary Moon of Endor also utilized bolas during the major battle fought there during the Galactic Civil War.[1]
