"Leaderless, the fleet has reverted to its most primal function: extermination. Unchecked, they will destroy all life in the galaxy."
Valkorion, to the Commander[2]

In 3630 BBY, at the end of the war against Zakuul, Empress of Zakuul Vaylin was killed during the Assault on Odessen,[1] but this caused the leaderless Eternal Fleet to revert to its primal programming. The planet Coruscant was one of many that was bombarded by the Eternal Fleet warships in an effort to eradicate all life in the galaxy. The bombardments eventually ended when the Alliance Commander took control of the Eternal Throne during the Battle of Zakuul.[2]
