The Bounty Hunter Armor was a model of armor in use during the Galactic Civil War.[2]> It offered a high degree of protection against kinetic damage. However, it offered less in regards to protection from energy-based weapons like blasters.[1] The complete armor set included helmet, chest plate, left & right biceps, left & right bracers, gloves, leg armor and boots. It was available in several different colors.[2]
History[]
Contrary to what its name suggested, this armor was not primary used by bounty hunters but by spacers and criminals.[2] In fact, the Bounty Hunter Armor was known for its widespread use among members of the criminal organization of Black Sun.[3][4][5][6] It was also used by Blackguards[7] and by Razor Runners.[8]
After the Battle of Yavin, a band of spacers retrieved pieces of Bounty Hunter Armors and used them to craft their own Mandalorian armors in the Death Watch bunker on Endor.[2]
