The Brentaal system was a star system in the Bormea sector[2] of the Core Worlds[1] that contained at least one planet, the gas giant Cavas. During the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire carried out an incursion into the Bormea sector, using jamming ships to cause communications blackouts for the New Republic. Commander Lindon Javes sent Vanguard Squadron to investigate these blackouts on the edge of the Brentaal System and re-establish communications.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Brentaal System was first identified in Star Wars canon in the 2020 video game Star Wars: Squadrons.[2] The Brentaal system first appeared in Star Wars Legends.[5]

Notes and references[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Star Wars: Squadrons states that the Brentaal System was located within the Bormea sector. As Star Wars: The Rebel Files establishes that Chandrila was also located in the Bormea sector, and is also stated to be located in the Core Worlds by Moving Target: A Princess Leia Adventure, it can be deduced that the Bormea sector, including the Brentaal system, is located in the Core Worlds.
