Bridgeworld was a planet that featured bridge cities. Controlled by the Techno Union during the Clone Wars, it was a member of the Confederacy of Independent Systems until it was captured by the Galactic Republic. The painting Bridgeworld Lost depicted a group of Skakoans surrendering to clone troopers on Bridgeworld.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Bridgeworld first appeared in "Celestia Galactica Photografica," a collection of in-universe illustrations by Ryan Church collected in Star Wars: Visionaries,[1] a graphic novel edited by Jeremy Barlow and released on April 2, 2005.[2] Its design was based on that of "Saleucami," a planet developed for the 2005 film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith that would have been home of the Techno Union and consisted of curving, arc-like structures with city skylines suspended on the bottom edge of the bridges. However, Saleucami ultimately became the Trade Federation world Cato Neimoidia during post-production, with its city skylines now resting atop the bridges, while its original name was reused elsewhere for a reworked concept.[3]
