The species of tree known as the bronzewood tree was very difficult to cut. In 19 BBY, this characteristic led to the analogy that attempting a futile task was like trying to cut one of the non-sentient trees.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Michael Reaves created the bronzewood tree for his novel, Coruscant Nights II: Street of Shadows, published by Del Rey in 2008.
