Bryce Dallas Howard (born March 2, 1981) is an American actress and director, best known for her performance in the 2015 film Jurassic World and her work writing and directing the 2015 short film Solemates.[1]

Howard is the eldest child of Solo: A Star Wars Story director Ron Howard and actress Cheryl Howard, and is the niece of actor Clint Howard.[source?] She directed two episodes of the live-action Star Wars television series The Mandalorian, created by Jon Favreau,[1] who worked with her father on Solo.[2] Howard had spent a lot of time on the set of Solo, where she received filmmaking tips from her father and from George Lucas.[3]
