The Buirk'alor-class speeder, also referred to as the Mandalorian police speeder, was a model of speeder used by the Mandalorian Guard, the New Mandalorian law enforcement agency that policed Mandalore.
Characteristics
The Buirk'alor-class speeder,[1] or Mandalorian police speeder,[3] was a type of speeder manufactured by MandalMotors that measured at 10.1 meters and could reach speeds of 280 kilometers per hour. The speeder had frontal and rear wraparound viewports that slid apart for easy access, as well as gull-wing doors for entry. Emergency lights were situated at the top of the speeder, and police was written in the front in Mando'a, while the emblem of the Mandalorian Guard was featured on the front and sides of the speeder.[1]
Role
The Buirk'alor-class speeder was utilized by the Mandalorian Guard as a law enforcement vehicle, utilized for patrol of Sundari's skylanes and other policing duties.[1]
History
The Buirk'alor-class speeder was employed by the Mandalorian Guard of the New Mandalorians during the pan-galactic Clone Wars. Two speeders were used by Duchess of Mandalore Satine Kryze and the Mandalorian Royal Guard during a skirmish at the Sundari docks when a black market conspiracy led to the poisoning of children.[2]
