"You're a limited conversationalist, but I'm sure after your long record of service there's little you don't know about building under duress."
―C-3PO, to CO-34[1]

CO-34, also called "See-Oh Three Four," was a CLL-M2 binary loadlifter who served the Resistance during its conflict against the First Order

Biography[]

In 33 ABY,[source?] Admiral Ackbar of the Resistance was captured by the First Order. Afraid that he would be executed, the Resistance created a group with the sole purpose of locating Ackbar. The group, led by Captain Hoff, at some point captured a droid of the First Order called O-MR1, who they thought knew the location of Ackbar. On their way back to the Resistance base, the group's ship crashed on Taul and the only survivors were CO-34, O-MR1, a protocol droid named C-3PO, a medical droid named 2MED2, and two security droids called PZ-99 and VL-44.[2]

The droids, led by C-3PO, picked up a signal from a First Order vessel. As they began following the signal, they were attacked by spice spiders. PZ-99 sacrificed himself to let the others escape, by getting the attention of the spiders and was destroyed. The rest of the droids were soon attacked once again, by Thidaxx and can-cell. VL-44, 2MED2, and CO-34 were all destroyed in the attack.[2]

Notes and references[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary states that Poe Dameron joined the Resistance three years before the Starkiller Incident, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 34 ABY. Therefore, Dameron joined the Resistance in 31 ABY. As Dameron is a member of the Resistance during the events of Star Wars Special: C-3PO 1, it must take place during or after 31 ABY. Furthermore, the novel Force Collector features the arm of C-3PO, which means that Star Wars Special: C-3PO 1 must take place some time before Force Collector. 'Star Wars: Force Collector' Author Kevin Shinick on How His Story Ties into 'Star Wars' Canon by Dave Trumbore on Collider (November 19, 2019) (archived from the original on November 19, 2019)– states that Force Collector takes place a few years prior to Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, or 34 ABY, meaning that the latest Force Collector can take place is at least two years prior to 34 ABY, or 32 ABY. Therefore, Star Wars Special: C-3PO 1 takes place between 31 and 32 ABY.
