Template:Qlisten CT-26-6958 was a clone trooper, who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. CT-26-6958 earned the nickname of "Hevy," due to being the heavy weapons expert of the listening post, located on the moon of Rishi. It was at this listening post that he and other rookie clone troopers—known as shinies—were stationed around 22 BBY. Under the command of Sergeant CT-19-7409, the group of rookies maintained the listening post to warn the Galactic Republic fleet of any Confederate attacks in the Outer Rim.

Hevy—along with CT-26-1409, CT-27-5555, and Cutup—were present when during a surprise Confederate attack on the station. BX-series droid commando droids took over the Rishi moon base, and Hevy and the three rookie troops escaped through a ventilation shaft, which led them outside the base. Commander CC-2224 and Captain CC-7567 soon arrived at the base for a routine inspection. The clone officers met up with Hevy and the remaining clone troops and organized a plan to attack the droids. They successfully took over the base, although Confederate General Grievous, who was leading his fleet above the moon of Rishi, sent more droid reinforcements.

CC-7567 ordered the destruction of the base and the clones collected liquid Tibanna and explosives. Upon noticing the remote detonator would not respond, Hevy offered to stay behind and fix the problem. The other clones left the base through the ventilation shaft while Hevy stayed behind, and was soon attacked by the battle droids. The clone destroyed some of them with his Z-6 rotary blaster cannon, however, he wasn't able to kill them all. The clone manually detonated the explosives, instantly killing himself and destroying the droids and the listening post.

A clone of Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, CT-26-6958 was born on the Wild Space planet of Kamino to fight for the Grand Army of the Republic.[1] Around 22 BBY,[2] CT-26-6958 was stationed in a listening post, located on the moon of the planet Rishi. Under the command of Sergeant CT-19-7409,[3] nicknamed "O'Niner," CT-26-6958—along with Cutup, CT-26-1409, and CT-27-5555 nicknamed "Echo" and "Fives" respectively,[3]—maintained the listening post to warn the Galactic Republic fleet near Kamino if the Confederacy of Independent Systems attacked. During his time in the Republic station, CT-26-6958 earned the nickname of "Hevy," due to his expertise in heavy weaponry in the base.[4] Inside the command center of the listening post, the rookie clone troopers—nicknamed shinies—were resting, due to inactivity around the area. The clones grew careless, ignoring the scanners while O'Niner wasn't around. Hevy arm-wrestled fellow rookie trooper Echo and wanted to continue his winning streak by offering a match to Fives, but the clone trooper reminded Hevy that he should be watching his scanner.[5]

Eventually, Sergeant O'Niner entered the room and alerted them of an inspection that would soon begin. However, unbeknownst to the group of clone troopers, Confederate General Grievous had sent BX-series droid commandos in Droch-class boarding ships to attack the listening post. Grievous, along with the Dark Acolyte Asajj Ventress, wanted to invade Kamino to end the production of Republic clone troopers. The Republic listening post on the moon of Rishi had an "all clear signal," which, if turned off, would alert a nearby Republic fleet. Grievous wanted to take over the base and made sure that his droids would obey his order of leaving the signal on. Meanwhile, a clone trooper alerted O'Niner that a meteor shower was approaching. As the clone raised the base's shield, Fives took the opportunity to boost Hevy's excitement. However, the rookie clone trooper commented negatively to the meteor shower. Outside the listening post, the meteor shower—which were actually the Droch-class boarding ships used by the commando droids—crashed everywhere around the listening post. The droids soon left their transports and began their attack on the Republic base. In the command center, O'Niner tried to contact clone trooper CT-327—who, unbeknownst to O'Niner, had already been killed by the commando droids—but was not able to contact him. The clone sergeant ordered troopers Droidbait and Nub to search for him, but the two soon found a group of commando droids near the base's entrance. The droids began to fire at the clone troopers, alerting O'Niner. The sergeant ordered Hevy to sound the listening post's alarm, however, the droids had deactivated the beacon. After three commando droids shot O'Niner, Hevy and the last four rookie troopers evacuated the command center by going through a ventilation shaft, which led them outside the listening post.[5]

Exiting the ventilation shaft, the four troops felt helpless without their commanding sergeant. The clone troopers were surprised when a Rishi eel attacked and devoured Cutup. After the attack, the group noticed the Obex,[6] a Nu-class attack shuttle, flown by Commander CC-2224 and Captain CC-7567, nicknamed "Cody" and "Rex" respectively. The clone officers had arrived for the inspection of the listening post and were unaware of the droid attack. The two soon met up with Hevy, Echo, and Fives, and Rex demanded them to remove their helmets to verify that they were clones. After the three rookie troopers obeyed, the Rishi moon eel reappeared and began to attack again, but Rex used his DC-17 hand blaster to kill it, impressing the rookies. Rex began to call the remaining rookie troopers "shinies,"[5] a derogatory term referring to the troopers' spotless armor that had not yet seen action in battle.[6] He found the group to be unique, and took interest in Hevy's fighting by stating that "there was hope for them yet." Both Rex and Cody gave the rookie troops their DC-15S blaster carbines before Rex suggested a plan to retake the listening post. The group of clone troopers hid near the entrance of the base, while Rex impersonated commando droid unit 26, by using the droid's decapitated head. The clone captain successfully tricked commando droid Units 07, 08, and 09 to open the door, allowing the clone troopers to ambush the remainder of the commando droids inside the command center. They defeated the droid units, including their vibroblade-wielding leader.[5]

Death

"Hevy, get out of there."
"The remote isn't working, I have to detonate it manually."

However, their victory was cut short when they noticed that General Grievous' fleet had arrived above the moon. The clones could not turn off the "all clear signal," because the droids had hotwired it. Due to the lack of communication from the commando droids, Grievous sent more battle droids to the listening post. The droid landing craft lowered out of the atmosphere, alerting the clone troopers inside the command center of the Republic base. Rex soon ordered the complete destruction of the base, which shocked the rookie troops. After telling the clone captain that their instruction was to protect the base, Rex dismissed them and ordered them to find anything explosive. One of the clone troopers offered the use of highly explosive liquid tibanna, stored in a plunk droid. While Rex and Echo went to retrieve the droid, Cody, Hevy, and Fives grabbed weaponry from the listening post's supply room. They opened fire on the invading battle droid forces[5] as Rex wired three plunk droids together,[7] but the remote activator to detonate the tibanna, wasn't working properly.[5]

Rishi station boom

Hevy offered to stay behind and correct the problem, while the others exited the listening post through the ventilation shaft. The clone rookie used his Z-6 rotary blaster cannon—which he had chosen eariler with Cody and Fives—and fired on the invading B1 battle droids. Outside, Cody, Rex, Echo, and Fives noticed that Hevy was still inside the listening post. Rex tried to contact Hevy via comlink, but Hevy told the clone captain that he had to detonate the explosives manually. Unwilling to accept Hevy's decision, Rex and the clones soon departed to rescue Hevy. More battle droids approached the command center, and soon Hevy's Z-6 rotary blaster ran out of ammunition. Hevy tossed the disabled weapon at the battle droids before he was injured in the leg by the droids. Upon regaining consciousness, a battle droid questioned whether or not to take Hevy as a prisoner, but Hevy activated the tibanna explosives, killing himself and destroying the listening post and the battle droids.[5]

Personality and traits

Template:Qlisten Despite being a rookie clone trooper, Hevy was regarded as a unique fighter, who had an eye for heavy weaponry.[4] He was sarcastic and constantly tried to show his strengths and abilities to the other clone troopers, usually by voicing his opinion. He also challenged the others to arm wrestling matches under the impression it was only to pass the time and constantly claim he wanted "to get into the action." Often seeking excitement, the other clone troopers had believed that Hevy's impression with the listening post was negative, as he didn't enjoy his time there. Hevy sported tattoos on either side of his face, from the back of the neck to the cheeks. [5]

Behind the scenes

Hevy was first revealed in a storyboard sketch shown on StarWars.com. Hevy was first featured in "Rookies," the fifth episode in the first season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, which aired on October 24, 2008.[7] In the premiere of "Rookies," Hevy exclaimed the word "hell" once. However, the word "hell" was removed in later rebroadcasting of the episode. Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Visual Guide Ultimate Battles gave Hevy the clone serial number of "CT-26-6958."[3]
