An inventory droid, CZ-332 worked at Farlander's Outfitting and Supply, an equipment store and pawn shop on the Wheel space station,[1] which was open around the year 1 BBY during the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic.[2] The droid worked with the shop's owner, a Human named Nols, in selling a wide range of both new and used equipment.[1]

If a customer requested an item that was not stocked in the shop, the pair was usually able to locate elsewhere on the Wheel. While at the store, CZ-332 sat behind the counter plugged into the store's security system and carefully watched all customers, where the droid was able to instantly call the Wheel Security Force if it saw any shoplifting or other trouble.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

CZ-332 first appeared in Beyond the Rim, a 2013 adventure module written by Sterling Hershey for the Fantasy Flight Games roleplaying game, Star Wars: Edge of the Empire. It was included as someone that players could potentially interact with while searching for information on the Wheel. CZ-332 had a designation similar to[1] droids of the CZ secretary droid line, which were third-degree droids designed for communications and bookkeeping.[3]

  2. Beyond the Rim establishes that the events of the adventure take place twenty years after the hyperspace message pod from the Sa Naloor arrived near the Wheel. The Sa Naloor was established to have sent the message pod at the end of the Clone Wars, which concluded in 19 BBY, according to The New Essential Chronology. Therefore, CZ-332 would have been at Farlander's Outfitting and Supply around the year 1 ABY.
