Cademimu V
When Cademimu V governor Chornarov faced charges of corruption he declared independence of the Republic. After the end of Ord Mantell civil war, a portion of Mantellian separatists led by General Ortol moved to Cademimu to serve as Chornarov's elite guard and help him size control of the planet and its missile defenses.
The uprising[edit | edit source]
- "As we speak, the governor is overriding Republic security protocols and arming the planetary missile batteries. His private army is quelling civilian riots, but the army's elite will protect the missile command center."
- ―Darth Malgus
This action was not welcomed by the population of Cademimu which led to riots and civilian uprising. While Chornarov's private army was quelling the rebellion on the streets, General Ortol and his men fortified themselves in the missile defense command center.[1]
The Republic sent a strike force to remove Chornarov and retake the missile system. At the same time, the Empire tried to exploit the situation and sent a strike force of its own. During the fighting, Ortol was killed inside the missile complex and Chornarov was eventually removed from power.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The Cademimu uprising is part of Star Wars: The Old Republic flashpoint Cademimu.[1] During the flashpoint the player has a choice to alter the trajectory of the missiles to target either the uninhabited moon (light side option) or enemy fleet in orbit (dark side option).
