- "I've killed people before, but I'm no murderer."
"What a pity. I am." - ―The Smuggler tries to show Cadomaccus mercy
Cadomaccus was a male Zabrak with Black and red skin and maroon eyes. A failed initiate of the Kouhun assassins, he waited on the desolate planet Mataou preparing a fortified position.[2] Between 4 ABY and 5 ABY,[1] the Smuggler, a male human, was building an alliance to fight Ubrik Adelhard's Imperial remnant, a breakaway faction of the Galactic Empire within the Anoat sector. The Smuggler sought to obtain favor with the Kouhun and had progressed through the first two of three trials—the test of meat and the test of steel—and was required to complete the final test, the test of spirit, having been poisoned prior to the first test and progressively getting weaker.[2]
This final test, given by the Kouhun leader Deathstick, required the Smuggler to either kill or succumb to the poison and die. Deathstick directed the Smuggler to Mataou, noting that Cadomaccus had failed his trials. Loathe, a member of the Kouhun, briefed the Smuggler on Cadomaccus' situation, warning of the failed initiate's defenses and Cadomaccus' belief that to overcome and kill the Smuggler would grant him membership with the assassin group, despite his previous failings. These defenses, consisting of Hutt Guard Droids, Hutt security droids and ancient security droids, were no match for the Smuggler, who progressed to the Zabrak's position on the rooftop of one of the planet's buildings. The Smuggler pleaded with Cadomaccus, requesting the Zabrak trust him and that he had a plan to save both of them, as the Smuggler did not see himself as a murderer despite having killed, considering those kills to be necessary. Refusing the Smuggler's offer and armed with grenades and a blaster pistol, Cadomaccus initiated combat, with the two exchanging fire on the rooftop until the failed initiate was killed by their successor. Passing this test, Deathstick noted that the group would not have killed Cadomaccus if he had joined forces with his opponent, noting that the slain individual had no restraint when it came to killing, likening him to a butcher. The Smuggler would go on to receive the Antidote to the poison and gain the favor of the Kouhun.[2]

Notes and references[]
- ↑ 1.0 1.1 Star Wars: Uprising depicts Cadomaccus' death on Mataou. The game is set during Ubrik Adelhard's Iron Blockade, which begins shortly after the events of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. According to Aftermath: Empire's End, Adelhard was defeated just prior to the Battle of Jakku. As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the events of Return of the Jedi to 4 ABY and the Battle of Jakku to 5 ABY, the events of Uprising must take place between those years.
