Cait was a member of the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire. She served as a Forward Air Controller for the company, directing their X-wing starfighters to their targets.[2]

At some point between 2 BBY and 0 BBY,[1] the 61st was deployed onto the planet Allst Prime to attack the Imperial outpost there. Cait was killed during the battle, and Micha Evon, the captain of the 61st, took her receiver and began yelling orders to the X-wings. At the same time, the bounty hunter Brand saw Cait's body from afar and examined the signs of trauma on her.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Cait appeared as a corpse in the short story "Inbrief," written by Janine K. Spendlove and first published in Star Wars Insider 161[2] on November 10, 2015.[3]

Notes and references[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 In Battlefront: Twilight Company, the rebel trooper Hazram Namir refers to Brand as a bounty hunter during the battle on Vir Aphshire, which occurs concurrently with the Battle of Yavin. As "Inbrief" establishes that Brand's bounty hunter past was not known by other rebels until the battle of Allst Prime, that battle must have taken place before the Battle of Yavin, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to the time period that Star Wars: Galactic Atlas refers to as 0 BBY. Since the Rebel Alliance participates in the battle of Allst Prime, the battle must take place after the Declaration of the Rebel Alliance, which Timelines places in 2 BBY. Therefore, the battle of Allst Prime, and thus the main events of "Inbrief," must take place between 2 BBY and 0 BBY. Furthermore, Cait's death during the battle must also take place in that time.
