The Capture of the Death Star test unit was a mission undertaken by the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the early stages of the Galactic Civil War.

Prelude[]

At some point prior to the Galactic Civil War, a test unit model of the Death Star was developed by the Galactic Empire as a means to test the concept of the battlestation.

The mission[]

This section of the article assumes 100% game completion of Star Wars: Force Collection. Any alternate stories may be noted in the "Behind the scenes" section. The events in this section may or may not have been confirmed as canon within the Star Wars Legends continuity.

During the Galactic Civil War, the Rebel Alliance attacked the test unit, believing it to be the actual Death Star. After storming through the Stormtroopers assigned to guard it, they eventually reached the control room, only to discover that it was only a test unit.

Aftermath[]

After the Rebel victory, the Imperial troops evacuated. Darth Vader later ordered for the station to self-destruct.

Behind the scenes[]

This mission first appeared in the Android/iPhone card game Star Wars: Force Collection for the optional quest "Battle of the Death Star Campaign", which ran until September 25, 2013. The campaign ended with a Light Side victory.
